There was a recent newspaper article in The Sun this week about one of our neighboring co-ops, Pacific Heights. Read the article here.

The issue is skyrocketing real estate prices and accompanying property taxes, resulting in an increase of $75 per unit per month in housing charges. Obviously the whole point of living in a co-op is that it’s affordable housing, and many of the members who live there, like here, have families, or perhaps disabilities, and 30% are subsidized.
