The flurry of development in our neighborhood is not slowing down even a little bit. While a new tower is being constructed directly across the street (with all that entails, especially to those of you who live on the Hastings side), there are also preparations being made to re-do both the Empire Landmark (just up the street on Robson) and the Westin Bayshore. The building on the corner of Cardero and Alberni is also under construction.

There may be more if a local developer gets the go-ahead. There are two towers proposed to go into the space where the Chevron was and where the White Spot currently is.

Here’s the info, though no formal proposal has yet been submitted to City Hall.
