This weekend marks Vancouver’s Pride parade and celebration.
2019 is a big year, because it’s the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in San Francisco, which started the original Pride protest/celebration movement, and was pivotal in bringing LGBTQ rights to the forefront.
Vancouver celebrates Pride on Sunday, August 4, and there will be road closures nearby that may affect local traffic.
The Parade starts at noon on Robson St, then makes it way down Robson, along Denman, and finally up Beach Avenue to Sunset Beach.
